Fish fry for Spain and Italy trip to be hosted at the Eagles Club

The Eagles Club hosts a fish fry every Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Tonight, Spanish teachers Josh Walters, Iliana Vasquez-Ochoa, and students signed up to go on a trip to Spain and Italy next spring break are serving the fish as a fundraiser.

“It’s a great alternative fundraiser to a bake sale or car wash because you go with nothing,” Walters said, “work for the eagles for four to five hours, and then leave with money and everybody benefits from it.”

The Eagles Club allows different groups to come in and help with serving and cleaning up at the fry. The groups benefit from a 50/50 raffle, as well as tips the club receives.

The fish fry is open to the public and the money made is going to pay for the extra charge of a bus to and from the airport.
