Hall of Fame inductees attend ceremony and tour of “new” high school building

Nine Grand Haven alumni and community members were inducted into the hall of fame on Nov. 6. The morning of the ceremony, Assistant Superintendent Scott Grimes gave the inductees and their families a tour of the high school.

Hall of fame inductee, Maggie Dwyer Chaney, stands with her family. Chaney was inducted for her athletic achievements in track and basketball. She went on after her time at Grand Haven to play Division 1 basketball for Michigan State University. She also competed for the track and field team. After her sophomore year, she transferred to Missouri State University and played for their team her junior and senior year of college. She has also competed in Germany for basketball.
