Grand Haven’s boys varsity soccer team looked to stay undefeated in the O-K Red as they took on Hudsonville Thursday night. They completed yet another shutout as they beat the Eagles 4-0.

The game got off to a sluggish start with neither team scoring a goal in the first half. Junior Connor Jettner finally broke the scoring slump with a goal off an assist from senior Christian Dault to open the second half. The Bucs never looked back after that and continued to attack the Eagle’s defense.

“In practice we’ve been working on our offensive and defensive combinations which leads to the scoring chances we’ve been getting in the game,” Jettner said.

The Buccaneers also got second half scoring contributions from Dault, senior Isaac Braak and senior Jamal Yarbrough. Goaltender Riley Taylor saved two goals on the night to keep Hudsonville scoreless.

The Bucs (7-0-1, 2-0) host cross-town rival Spring Lake at 1:45 p.m. Saturday in a battle for the drawbridge.
