What happened: The Bucs Hockey team took on Grand Rapids Christian Wednesday night in what was an evening the Bucs did not want to remember, a 5-1 loss to close out their 2016-2017 season at home. The team was up against the wall from the beginning with the Eagles having a fast, powerful start to the contest. The Bucs could not muster a comeback to bring the game to closer terms.

Key contributors: Branden Beeler, a forward for the Bucs’ Hockey team, scored the only goal for the team. Kyle Eveland also fought hard while on the ice.

They said it: “I think we had a pretty good game, we let off the pedal for a bit sometimes but we learned a lot last night and we’re ready for Rockford,” said sophomore Kyle Eveland.

Up next: The Bucs Hockey team travels to Rockford on Monday, Feb. 27 for a Pre-Regional matchup with the Rams.
