The Grand Haven High School orchestras performed their second concert of the week last Friday. However, this concert was much different than their traditional ones. This was the hundredth anniversary of the orchestras and they celebrated by bringing all of the school orchestras fifth through 12th grade together in the fieldhouse.

At the concert, they recognized multiple organizations and people who helped shape the orchestras for what they are today. Also, city manager Pat McGinnis proclaimed the group as the official orchestra of Grand Haven.

The finale of the show was a specially composed piece called Meer Winden written exclusively for them by Bob Phillips. In the same space, all six orchestras played together, which was challenging and took hours of practice, but left the audience awestruck.
