The girls varsity basketball team will play the West Ottawa Panthers on Friday Feb. 7 at 6:00 p.m. at home in Buccaneer stadium.

Even though the Bucs have beaten the Panthers previously, this game is expected to be a close one. Both teams have been playing well lately.

The Bucs, who experienced a losing streak are now on the rebound, and have won their last three games.

Some players to watch this game are senior Jolee Houle and sophomores Zoey Spoleman and Molly Long. All played strong in the team’s match against Jennison.

Since the beginning of the season, junior Avery Keefe has noticed enormous improvement among her teammates.

“We’ve been working on communicating and have gotten a lot better by learning more about each other,” Keefe said. “Now we can play better together.”
