Fare and Fees: Arturo’s serves two types of tacos with prices ranging from $1.50 to $3. A Mexican style taco comes with, meat, onion and cilantro and the more American style taco comes with rice, beans and pico.  They also have $9.00 burrito, or quesadillas ranging from $2.50 to $6.00. Other popular choices include Tostadas- a deep fried tortilla with beans ground meat and vegetables ($2.50) and Tortas- a Mexican style sandwich with bread and your choice of meat ($5.25).

Ambience: The dining area is a small comfortable room however it could use a decent vacuum job. You order and pay at the counter and the server will bring your food to you if you are dining in or they will call your name from the counter if you are taking your items to go.

Wait: If you order chips and salsa as an appetizer, you will receive it immediately, and the wait for your main meal is about 5-10 minutes.

How was it?: I made my first trip to Arturo’s last week. I started off by eating tortilla chips with a medium flavored salsa. For the main course I ate Mexican style tacos with a corn tortilla. The taco was filled with delicious rice, bean paste, lettuce and pico. Initially I was unsure about ordering tacos, I was going to order a generic quesadilla however I decided to go with plan “B”. The Mexican mixed with American style taco. They were able to combine both styles for me and to add lettuce on top to make it vegetarian. After the first bite, I knew I made the right decision. My favorite part was the tortilla shell. It was way better than anything you can get from the store. It was soft and easy to bite into, the rice was sweet and the salsa added some spice which brought the taco to another level. Recently they have just added carne asada fries which look super tasty. So, if you’re looking for something new, just ignore the floors and focus on the food. It will definitely be worth it.
