The Coast Guard reports that the Ottawa County Dispatch contacted the Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, reporting they had gotten a call from an unknown man claiming he was going to blow up the Grand Haven station.

Authorities released that the suspect is a 33 year old Michigan man who is not a resident of Grand Haven and are unsure if he acted alone. Both his motives and intentions are unclear at the moment. The Grand Rapids FBI and state police will be aiding the investigation. He has also become a suspect in a suspicious fire in Oceana County, being the last one seen at the site. The Oceana County Sheriff reports they got called to a fire at 4 a.m on 34th Avenue in Golden Township. The scene was badly damaged, a home which had been remodeled to look like an old gas station. The suspect lived in a residence in that building and had been seen there Saturday.

The road closures and shelter-in-place instructions are lifted. As of roughly 12:30 p.m the Michigan state bomb squad ruled there are no explosives and the station is safe.
