WHAT HAPPENED: The girls softball team defeated West Ottawa on a double header on Tuesday April 20. They won the first game 17-6 and the second 11-0.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN: The win improves the team’s record to 2-1 in the O-K Red Conference.

KEY PLAYERS: Senior Hannah Bowen pitched strong in the first game and hit a home run. Junior Skyler Covelli had some powerful swings and stole 7 bases 

THEY SAID IT: “As a team we started off really good and confident,” Covelli said. “We finished super strong and powerful. We worked as a team and it showed.”

WHAT’S NEXT: The Bucs played away against East Kentwood on Thursday April 22. Unfortunately they lost 8-0. The bucs will play a doubleheader away against Jenison on Tuesday April 27 at 4 p.m.
