If you are interested in playing a fall sport, the girl’s rugby team is looking for new members. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. No experience is needed.

“Rugby is a sport where you can play regardless of size or body type,” Junior Avery O’Brien said. “There’s always a spot for you.”

The team is hoping to have enough people to play 15 vs 15  on the field, as well as enough to substitute for players who need a break and or in case of an injury.

“We will always take new people and we will teach you,” O’Brien said. “Rugby is nice because it’s three days a week, it’s not a huge commitment.”

Anyone can join at any point during the season. It is not a hard sport to learn.

“Rugby is a great community,” O’Brien said. “You get close with these people so fast. There isn’t a lot of drama, it’s like your second family. So we’re always looking to grow our family bigger.”
