What Happened: The Buccaneers had a really positive outcome from conferences, dropping almost seven minutes as a team. Although they fell just short of their goal to beat Hudsonville and finish third, they still finished fourth right behind, Hudsonville with Rockford in second and West Ottawa first, as Kathryn Ackerman, Georgia Basil, and Alonna Clark qualified for all conference.

They said it: “I think we did really well. We were expecting a lot of great races and fast times and that was exactly how it turned out,” senior Anna Ackerman said.

What’s next: The Buccaneers are headed to states in two weeks at Oakland University.
