Senior Seth Roffey battles it out in the Butterfly event last season in the Bucs final home match of the season. A new season of strong competition for the Bucs begins tonight.

The boys kick off their season with two hour-long practices Mondays through Fridays, prepping for that first relay meet against Holland Christian next Thursday, Dec. 16. It’s gonna be a big meet seeing how it’s really gonna kick off the season. Quite literally, the guys will be testing the waters, getting their feet wet as some would say. Aside from swimming puns, this first meet is going to determine what the boys will need to do to prepare for what’s to come. Although the work ethic is looking pretty good on the Bucs end.

“For me independently, it’s like you get in the zone, when you can’t go anymore that’s when you start working even harder,” said senior Grant Ruster. “As a team I don’t know if I will be a captain this year but I am a senior and I need to be an example and help lead the team.”
