2018 Winter Olympics: Results from Feb. 12

Notable American Others: On Monday, February 12 Jamie Anderson won gold today for women’s snowboard slopestyle when on her second run, she didn’t land the final jump and went straight to the bottom to wrap up in an American flag. Also In the team figure skating finals, team U.S. took bronze as they fall just short from Russia and Canada.  

Other Big performances: Germany’s Laura Dahlmeier claimed gold in the Biathlon with a time of 30:35.3. Also winning gold from today in figure skating was Team Canada, Ireene Wust for speed skating, Mikael Kingsbury from Canada winning the men’s moguls, and Maren Lundby from Norway winning the women’s normal hill ski jump.

What to Watch next: The next events to be held are the medals awarded to Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, curling, luge, speed skating, and snowboarding. Competition day will also be held for curling, figure skating,  ice hockey (Canada vs. Finland), Nordic combined, and the skeleton.
