New ice cream shop

On the corner of Washington and Beechtree, with string lights and peach walls lies a new ice cream shop that everyone is eager to try.

“Bigger sizes, better prices” is the motto of the recently-opened ice cream shop in the East End of Grand Haven. They opened on Memorial Day weekend replacing East End Ice cream.

Norm’s is well-known for their large portions and prices that are significantly less than the competition.

Personally, I choose not to eat dairy. So a place that will soon have a variety of dairy free ice cream that is not just sorbet is a blessing. I tried their raspberry sorbet and it was satisfying

The fruity mess melted onto my hands and dripped onto the pavement. The bright colors made my tongue scarlet and satisfied my empty stomach.

They are already fully-staffed for summer and their grand opening is set for Friday, June 7.

“I loved it,” sophomore, Neala Wilson said. “I got a kids small and it was really the size of a large in comparison to other local places.”
