What Happened?

The girls swim team lost last night to a strong Rockford team 186-129. The Bucs battled hard, with many races ending tight, but it just wasn’t enough. 

Key Players.

  • Senior Kathryn Ackerman: The captain made two new school records, one in 200 free, and the other in 100 butterfly
  • Junior Ocean Veldhouse: The swimmer made the cut for states in the 100 free and 50 free

They Said it.

  • “There was a lot of heart in the meet tonight,” senior Jessica Boyer said. “We came into it knowing it was going to be emotional and tough.”
  • “Overall we did really well against a really hard team,” senior Kirsten Dykstra said.

Whats Next?

The team travels to Hudsonville next Thursday, October 10 at 6 p.m. This will be the first and only meeting of the season between the two teams.
