The Annual Art Show is once again returning to Grand Haven’s auxiliary gym. Doors open Wed. April 24 at 6:00. In addition to displaying exceptional artwork, 24 seniors will be recognized at the 6:30 reception following the show, for their “strong work ethic and good attendance” as Art Department Head Irene Sipe said.

The show can be viewed during the school day during all hours except for Academy and lunches. Teachers can sign up for times to bring their classes down to tour the Art Show.

Outside of school hours members of the community can attend between 3:00 and 5:00 on April 25 and 26. Additionally, the Art Show will be open on the weekend of April 27 and 18 at 11:00 through 2:00.

The Art Show is the department’s big event and chance to showcase their student’s hard work.

The trial and error process in ceramics, drawing, digital arts, animation, photography and jewelry takes them through the school year.

“Prep starts day one,” said Sipe, “Everything we do in class is working towards the Art Show.”
