“[The show] was phenomenal,” Student Director Erik Livingston said “It was one of the best shows we have put on, I am so proud of the whole production. I loved every second, and loved seeing it all come together!” Senior Gavin Tenbroeke played the role of Pharaoh in the musical. His song “Song of the King” was a crowd favorite. “He brought a certain personality to the whole show, he really transformed his character to life,” junior Abby Whitney said. Kathryn Jaeger played the role of the narrator in Joseph. Her favorite part of the show was just being able to perform and she thought the show as a whole went phenomenal. “Her voice and outfit were to die for,” Whitney said “She totally killed it!” “I think seeing it all come together, when it all just meshes- the singing, dancing, lighting and the pit- when it all just morphs into an amazing show is my favorite part of putting the show together,” Director Rita McLary said. Cast members (left to right) Senior Benjamin Lutz played Joseph and freshman Gabriel Rutherford played Jacob. “The best part of being in pit was being able to listen to the cast sing,” Carissa Tracy said, reflecting on playing in the pit rather than performing on stage as she had done in years prior. “I was able to have a different perspective on the musical.” “We loved the pit the music, the costumes, and the lights,” audience member Allison Matz said. “It was just awesome!” Bethany Clark played in the musical’s pit, her favorite song to play was “Those Canaan Days.” “We want to pretty much have a show that everyone can enjoy,” Livingston said earlier this year. Based on what the audience had to say about the show the cast and crew were able to reach this goal this past weekend.
