Looking to let loose and have a good time? Join the Buccaneer Original Swing Society Friday night at their annual fundraiser “Swing Into Christmas” dance, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. There will be a live jazz band and an opportunity to learn how to swing dance while you’re there.

“What I really like is how many people come to swing dancing,” junior and head of club Justin Merriman said. “It really generates interest because it’s something new and people really like doing it.”

For admission, bring in one or more canned goods as a donation to the Salvation Army.

“Anyone that’s interested, for sure they should show up,” Merriman said. “Because one; we’ll teach them [how to dance] so you don’t need any experience, and then also, you get to meet new people by dancing so you don’t need to bring a partner.”
