Do you like football? How about soccer? If so, then the new rugby league may be for you. There will be an informational meeting held in the large group instruction room from 2:45-3:45 p.m. this Thursday. The league is open to all high school students.
“I’m confident that this (rugby league) will not be a one year deal,” league representative for the school and teacher Tom Foley said.
The rugby program is through the organization MYRA (Michigan Youth Rugby Association). Our school will be competing in division two against schools such as Kenowa Hills, West Ottawa, Kalamazoo and more. Students are excited about the new league.
“I am very interested in joining the rugby league,” junior Aaron Cummings said. “I’m very excited to see how it’s all going to turn out.”
