The National Guard educates students in opportunities available after graduation

Those considering going into the military service after graduation can talk to military recruiters such as The National Guard during lunchtime.
“We think it’s important that students are exposed to as many options as possible as soon as possible,” Sergeant Joel James said.
Sergeant James visits the high school every third Thursday of each month to inform students of the opportunities the National Guard offer, such as going to college full-time while in the Guard and having your tuition paid for.
“Our focus is education and preparing people to be valuable members of their community.” Sergeant James said. “We’re not just going to grab you up for four years and then drop back off and say, ‘See ya later, have a good life’. We mainly want to serve our local communities.”
