Due to new spectator limits put on sporting events, GHTV has been working hard throughout the school year to make games more widely accessible through live streaming.

In the fall they focused mostly on football and boys soccer. In the winter, basketball and swimming. In the spring, they plan to cover lacrosse and girls soccer.

The setup, consisting of four different camera angles and lots of equipment, used to take the crew close to two hours to complete. Now, however, they’ve got it down to about 30 minutes.

Senior Zachary Whitaker, a four-year veteran, has enjoyed the new challenges presented.

“I’ve really liked getting to go out and do a variety of events and learn the process and be able to get down the process and see all of it come together,” Whitaker said. “It’s definitely been a really, really fun experience. It’s really opened my eyes to all different careers out there and different opportunities outside of school.”
