Girls varsity soccer ties to Hudsonville in first game

WHAT HAPPENED: The varsity girls soccer team tied Hudsonville 0-0 on Tuesday, March 30.  It was the team’s first game of the season. 

KEY PLAYERS: Senior Carly Wagaskey led the team with an aggressive offense as a forward. Senior Avery Richardson led the team defensively at the defending midfielder position. 

THEY SAID IT: “I want us to come together more and build our relationships with each other,” junior Camille Berko said. “I want us to be successful in the final third because we didn’t get a lot of chances on goal.”

WHAT’S NEXT: Their next game will be Tuesday, April 13 at East Kentwood at 5:25 p.m.
