Throughout the past two weeks, choir students have been selling chocolate bars in order to raise thousands of dollars for the class.

“We get a budget from the school, but it’s not enough to cover all the things that we do during the year,” says choir director Juli Dick. “We use the fundraising money to supplement the money that the school gives us so we can do our events all year long,”

They generally run the sales until the end of October, however, they can stop early if they run out of boxes. The bars only cost one dollar, but the contribution to the program is worth much more.

“Usually we raise like $5,000,” says Dick, “It just helps everything that we do in the program.”
