Theater students come together for unique show
On Friday, Nov. 12, Grand Haven theater is presenting a performance that is coming to more than just our community. All Together Now features some of the most famous songs from Broadway, something different from a normal musical. The show will start at 7 p.m.
¨It is not only a performance, but a fundraiser to raise money for the program.” Junior Cayden Smaka said, who has been a part of Grand Haven theater for many years.
COVID-19 has impacted the theater program because of the lack of in-person performances. All Together Now is set to help it bounce back.
“It is different from others, it is a bunch of different songs from musicals that normally you wouldn’t be able to sing… There are songs from the musicals of Beauty and the Beast, Jekyll and Hyde, Guys and Doll, and many more.” Smaka said.
There is a dessert buffet for an extra five dollars. Between songs, our theater peers will share why theater is so important to them. We will also get background information about the songs that they are singing.
“I am so excited for everyone to see. [People] talk about theatre kids but not the production, they spend hours and hours putting something together.” Senior Isabelle Perraut said. “They do not realize that it involves so many different people, not just the main cast… Students only see the finished project.”
