STICKY NOTE: one of the many sticky notes put on lockers. This one says “Never give up, you are loved, you are a gift to those around you.” Words like these can really make a difference in many peoples lives.

The Dorak club has created and placed sticky notes on lockers for kindness week. Each sticky note says words of affirmation to make someone’s day better.

“We do this to spread some kindness around the school,” junior Naomi Elliott said. “I feel like especially now we all need some extra kindness and happiness in our lives. And just a simple note on your locker really makes your day.”

This idea has been around for a few years. Kindness week is nationally recognized and DoRAK wanted to find a way to bring it to the school.

“I think it makes a difference,” Elliott said. “Just writing a little message saying ‘hey you’re great, you’re doing amazing’, this makes your day just knowing that someone out there is supporting you.”
