Despite the brutal winter weather, fans gathered at the Edge Ice Arena to watch the Bucs varsity hockey team take on the Kalamazoo Eagles on Friday night. Spectators endured the cold temperatures inside the arena as the Bucs defeated the Eagles 4-1.
“We got mentally focused a lot better today and we got a lot of good workouts in beforehand,” junior Brent Petersen said. “We bonded as a team a little bit.”
Although the Bucs got the win, they are still looking to improve.
“We have to work on getting the puck out of the zone for sure,” Petersen said. “When we got it stuck in our zone we just lost a lot of ice time.”
