What happened: After being held scoreless most of the first half by an aggressive Rockford defense, the Bucs finally broke through on a penalty kick from senior Christian Dault with just 52 seconds remaining in the half. The Bucs then came out strong in the second half, continuing their dominance of possession. Dault then capitalized on another penalty kick with 6:33 left in the game to seal the Bucs’ third conference victory.

Player of the Game: Dault made the most of his opportunities Tuesday night. He converted on two penalty kicks – one in the first half followed by another in the second half.

Key Contributors: Junior Connor Jettner threatened the Rockford defense all night and was fouled in the box during the second half, drawing a penalty kick for the Bucs. Goalkeeper Garrison Mast also saved the only shot that came his way.

Quote of the Night: “I think we were able to play our game and learn from the Spring Lake game. We didn’t bother getting aggressive with them. Instead we just kept playing our game and that frustrated them even more.” -Dault

Up Next: The Bucs (8-0-2 overall, 3-0 in the O-K Red) continue into the conference schedule as they face Grandville at home on Thursday.
