Bucs varsity boys fall to Muskegon 52-48 in district finals

The boy's varsity basketball team lost in the last quarter to the Muskegon Big Reds in the district championship game on Friday. After leading in a close game the Bucs lost the district champions title after a hard fought game and a season of lots of effort.

Junior Ross Koella dunks in the first quarter. Koella led the Bucs with 14 points throughout the game. The Bucs started off the game strong leading 17-7 at the end of the first quarter. ¨I think that we played harder during that game than any other game of the season. Although we lost and the game ended our season, it feels good to end the season knowing we gave it our all,” Koella said.

Juniors Clay Landsman and Jack Riopelle have an emotional moment after the game Friday night. ¨Coming off the court Friday night was very emotional, this was by far the best team that I have ever been apart of and it was definitely hard knowing that that was all over and that this was the last game that I was ever going to play with these same group of guys again,¨ Landsman said.
