Football hosts GR Union in Bucs’ Pride purple game
Fans encouraged to wear purple to support cancer awareness
What: The Buccaneers play their final game of the season this Friday against Grand Rapids Union. The Buccaneers enter the game with a 2-6 record and face a winless Grand Rapids Union team. This isn’t just any ordinary Friday night Grand Haven football game, this game honors those whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear the color purple to support the Bucs’ Pride mission. Also, for the senior football players, this will be their final game in a Bucs uniform.
Where: Friday’s game will be played at Gene Rothi Field in Grand Haven at 7:00 PM
They said it: “All of the hard work I’ve put into football in the offseason and everything, it kinda sucks that this is gonna be the last time I get to put the pads on,” senior running back Adrian Nelson said.
Up next: The Bucs look to improve their record to 3-6 with a win over Grand Rapids Union. After that the season will come to an end.
