Grand Haven Track and Field seeks revenge against O-K Red competitor Hudsonville Eagles

Anna Ackerman, Reporter

What: The track team hosts Hudsonville at 4:30 in Buccaneer Stadium. The meet should be extremely close and intriguing to watch.

Previous encounters: Last year the Bucs lost a close match against the Hudsonville Eagles and they will seek redemption on their home turf.

Who to Watch for:  The Bucs will look for strong performances from sophomores Abby Buitenhuis and Gabby Hentemann, seniors Haylee Ray and Andrea Strainer who are members of the 4X800 relay that is currently seeded second in the state. They will also be looking for dominant performances from freshman Camryn Constant, juniors Jenny Ryan, junior Kassidy Burnside and McKenna Keefe to help gain points against the Eagles.

They said it: “I want to win the mile and win the 800 to help improve my PR and get points for the team. It would be awesome if we could take a third place in the mile and 800.”–Hentemann
