What: It is officially postseason baseball and the Bucs proved that they could win under pressure. The team beat Holland in a win or go home situation today 4-2 to save their season. The boys took advantage of the Dutchman’s errors and were able to score. Pitching from Sean Casey was tremendous as it has been all season long. Casey pitched a complete game only allowing one earned run. In fact, Casey has pitched 6 complete games and holds a 6-1 record this season. This win is huge going down the stretch. Not just because it ensured their season is still continuing but the fact that it gives the team a huge boost going into districts against West Ottawa.

They said it: “The win is very nice,” senior Kyle Hoover said. “It’s definitely nice having that momentum going into districts.”

Up next: The Bucs advance to district play, facing West Ottawa on the road in what is anticipated to be a battle. If they are able to beat West Ottawa, the team would secure a spot in the district championship.

Previous encounters: Earlier this season the Bucs were able to sweep the West Ottawa Panthers
