What Happened: The Buccaneers traveled to Portage to face off against East Kentwood in a regional match. Through downpours and chilly fall temperatures, the Falcons and the Bucs were locked in a defensive battle for the better part of the game. However, some good play by the Falcons and some missed opportunities by Grand Haven resulted in a 2-0 victory for East Kentwood.

They Said It: “I thought we played well enough win, especially in the first half,” junior forward Mason Mahacek said. “It was one of those games where the ball just bounced the wrong way and to East Kentwood credit they made the most of their opportunities.”

What’s Next: The soccer season is over for the Bucs. This was Aaron Dean’s last game of 17 years being the varsity head coach.
