What: Following the achievement of second place at regionals and of course the conference championship, the cross country team headed to Brooklyn, Michigan, home of Michigan International Speedway. Through the cold, rain and numerous delays, The team placed 10th out of twenty-seven teams, just under Rockford. Although the boys didn’t get the number-one that they wanted, they still fueled everything they had in them and in the end, did pretty well.

They Said It: “States went really well, considering the weather, and multiple delays,”  said junior Dominic Weatherwax.

Up Next: For now, runners won’t be running competitively. Although the season has officially ended, many of the guys will continue to train through the fall and winter, waiting for track season to roll around.
