Senior Austin Fox fights through the blue line in a home contest earlier in the season. He has another great opportunity to bring the Bucs a win on Friday at home.

What Happened: Grand Haven hockey hosted conference foe Northview on Wednesday night, where the Bucs tied the Wildcats in a defensive slugfest with the final score 2-2. Both goals for Grand Haven were scored by season point-leader senior Austin Fox. He adds to his great goal total, making it 15 after another strong outing. The Bucs defense, led by senior goalie Finn Bylsma, held strong throughout the duration of the game, with veteran netminding and hard work to not let another goal slip through. The Bucs felt they deserved a win in this matchup, as their effort was second to none. Increased offensive production outside of the first line is needed if Grand Haven wants to close these contests out.

They Said It: “We started to make a come back at the end of the third but we just couldn’t put one in,” junior Jax Plumert said.

Up Next: The Bucs have a quick turnaround and face off against arena co-owner Mona Shores on Friday night. This game should bring lots of intensity, as many Bucs’ skaters have played with the Sailor skaters for a long time.
