What Happened: As the Bucs took on the team they share Lakeshore Sports Centre with, the Mona Shores Sailors, Grand Haven showed no signs of holding back, dominating the Sailors 5-1. The Bucs proved to have their offensive power back at top-speed again after this dismantling of Mona Shores’ Defense, thanks to the efforts of junior Trevor Kalis, who totaled three points on the night – two of those from two goals scored and one from a quality assist in the third period. The Bucs opened the scoring onslaught in the first period and never lost grasp of their lead for the rest of the match. This quality outing for the team could do wonders for their future.

They Said It: “This is the first time we played a complete game,” Kalis said. “Everyone gave it 100 percent and took no shifts off.”

Up Next: Grand Haven looks to build off this big win with their next game being a road contest on Friday Feb. 9 at Escanaba in what should be a shootout.
