Notable American Results: Yesterday was an eventful seventh day PyeongChang. After U.S. halfpipe snowboarder Chloe Kim won gold for the women’s side, Shaun “Red Tomato” White took gold in the halfpipe for the men’s portion. The Red Tomato  used daring tricks to get him a score of 97.75, beating out fellow competitors Ayumu Hirano of Japan and Scotty James of Australia. White’s medal had a deeper meaning as it was the U.S.’s 100th total medal in Winter Olympics history.

Other Key Results: In speed skating, Jorien ter Mors won the women’s 1,000-meter. The Netherlands have proved to be superior in this event as they are five-for-five in medaling. Eric Frenzel of Germany reclaimed gold in the nordic hill combined event. After starting out fifth in ski jumping, Frenzel beat the four others ahead of him in an unlikely win.

What to Watch For: As a Valentine’s Day treat, spend time with your significant other by watching luge, Nordic hill combined, speed skating and snowboard all in their medaling events tonight.
