Junior Nick Wilson swims towards the ball in a match against Zeeland East. The Bucs will have to depend on Wilson’s defense if they want to advance farther in the postseason.

WHAT  TO EXPECT: After a mix of dominance in the first game, and hardships in the next, the Grand Haven Buccaneers placed second at Districts in Zeeland, and will now be traveling to Hudsonville to kick off Regionals in a must-win tournament. They will be facing off with East Grand Rapids in their first game, and depending on seeding, they will face either Rockford or Hudsonville.

THEY SAID IT: “Our next game is a do or die game,” senior Matthew Marcus said. “That puts a lot of pressure on us. However, right now we feel good about our team and how we have been preparing. I’d say our mindset is cautious yet confident”

OTHER INFO: Because this is a do or die game, the Bucs winning would advance them to the state tournament. If they lose, the season will be over. This tournament will take place on Friday Oct. 26, at 4:00 P.M.
