Haven Hoops scouting report
November 3, 2018
Last season: The team put up a 13-8 record and lost in the District Finals to an always tough, Muskegon Big Red’s team. The squad started out the year red hot, winning seven of their first eight games, they were absolutely lights out from three point range and the game down low was working for them as well. The team did however have a bit of a crash landing end to the season, finishing 7-7 through their next fourteen games.
This year: The Buccaneers have lost many high caliber players from last season such as Kellum Bridgeforth, Malic Love, Tucker Beland and Charlie Brown. It most definitely hurts the team having lost these special athletes but there is potential and a whole lot of promise in athletes such as senior Casey Constant, senior Bryce Taylor, Junior Andrew Sinke and Junior Owen Ross.
Recipe for Success: Grand Haven will be at a disadvantage due to its lack of height. In order for the Bucs to pose a threat, they will need to be money from beyond the arch and will need to play aggressive defense.
