WHAT IS HAPPENING:  After a hard fought 2-1 record at Regionals and placing third in the region, the water polo team now has its eyes on the prize as they are traveling to East Kentwood to kick off the state finals.

THEY SAID IT: “We’re excited,” senior Jackson Hamm said. “The last three years we’ve lost the first game which placed us in the consolation bracket but this year we’re looking really strong. Now that we almost beat Rockford and they almost tied with Hudsonville (who is No. 1 in the state), we know that we stand a very good chance.”

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: If the Buccaneers win against Dexter tomorrow, they will be setting team history. Also, the state finals start at 5:15 p.m
