Sophomore Nolan Clark qualified for the state cross country meet on Saturday, Oct. 31 with a time of 16:21.

“Overall I felt pretty good,” Clark said. “I knew I had qualified for states, but I was a bit slower than I thought.”

The state meet will take place on Friday, Nov. 6. In preparation for the race, Clark has been self-quarantining away from school to help ensure his health and safety for the competition.

“I didn’t have to but my coach suggested it,” Clark said.

Clark says his coach and the overall atmosphere of the team helped increase his performance throughout the season.

“The best part about this season was getting to see and practice with all my teammates,” Clark said. “We have fun in and out of meets and I’m sure I would’ve never made it to states without their support.”
