The Girls Varsity golf team, coached by teacher Roger Glass, qualified for states at their regional tournament in Traverse City on Oct. 4.

The girls shot a team score of 393 for 18 holes. Senior Caydee Constant shot an 83 to boost the Buccaneers to 3rd place among their OK Red conference competitors.

In previous years, only one or two players have qualified for the state tournament, but the entire team has qualified this year.

“I’m very excited to go to states and that we finally made it as a team,” Senior golfer Zoe Spoelman said. “We’re already somewhere in the top 15 in the state, so hopefully we can get that a little lower.”
