Which event is your favorite?
Beam or vault.
Favorite memory?
I would say last year at Nationals in Oklahoma. It was such an incredible experience to make it to Nationals and then all the things that we did when we were there. Being able to go to Hawaii this past fall was also absolutely incredible and such an amazing experience.
Favorite part about the sport?
It’s just a way for me to step away from school. I go there and I relax a little. It’s also just super fun to me and being able to spend my time doing something that I love is freeing.
Any before-competition rituals?
I often listen to music with my Airpods to get me pumped up.
How did the recent competition go?
Well, I placed first, but I did have a couple mess ups that are fixable and stuff I can improve on.
Any goals?
This season would be to make nationals and place in the top 10.
Plans for the future?
I’m going to Michigan State next year for gymnastics.
Favorite food?
Probably pasta.
What motivates you?
Just like there’s always more possibilities. There’s so much stuff that you could do and there’s so many different skills. There are just so many little things that you mess up and then you can improve.
