Seniors Brittany Jullie and Logan Johnson were named National Merit Semi-Finalists. Jullie and Johnson took the PSAT NMSQT last year and received qualifying scores.

The National Merit is an annual academic competition for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships. The requirements to be a semi-finalist are decided after everyone takes the test, only a third of who attempted are accepted.

Johnson advises each finalist hopeful to do what works for them, not all techniques work for everyone.

“I feel like things have gotten a lot easier and a lot more complicated and I figured the SAT is just another thing to go after and take down.” said Johnson
