Artists from the East showcase Asian talent on new Rich Brian track

The latest single off of Amen, future debut album of Indonesian come-up artist, Brian Imanuel, also known as Rich Brian, represents the rise of Asian involvement in the rap scene. The track begins with Kris Wu, rapping partly in Chinese and singing the chorus.

The Canadian-Chinese artist and actor is followed by the deep and distinct voice of Rich Brian. He spits out his bars on top of a heavy beat mixed with what sounds like the ring of bells, fusing with Wu to effectively kick off the song with a hype element.

Co-producer Joji then swoops in with Trippie Redd to change the tempo. The two artists add serenity to the second half of the song, slowing things down as piano notes weave their way through a slow-burning beat, reminiscent of “Demons” off of Joji’s recently released EP. Redd shows off his talent, putting on a softer show than some of his other tracks like “Dark Knight Dummo” with Travis Scott.
