Senior Olivia Perrier was recognized as a “Rotary Student of the Month” on Monday, September 16 at the rotary luncheon  alongside her peer Carter Brown. 

“It was pretty exciting,” Perrier said. “It’s always nice to feel honored and to be recognized in the community.” 

Perrier is ranked second in the senior class chose to bring along History teacher Mark Robertson to share the moment with her.

“He influenced my thinking and the way I learn has changed,” Perrier said. “I’ve become more inquisitive and delve more into topics rather than just memorize things.”

When accepting the honor at the luncheon Perrier shared a few words about her academics and extracurricular  time at Grand Haven High School.

“It’s a lot of hard work a lot of AP courses a lot of long nights,” Perrier said. “I’m very honored it was a great opportunity.”
