On Tuesday Sept. 24 the Ambassador Club held a luncheon for all of the exchange students throughout the school in an attempt to acquaint them with the high school and the people in it.

Vlad Ademenko, an exchange student from Ukraine, said he’s excited to be in the U.S. this year and noted the competition he was in with fellow Ukrainian students to get here.

“American culture is very popular in Ukraine,” Ademenko said. “There is a competition between these people. Like they, check your English skills, your language skills, they even check your character.”

Isabelle Vanantwerpen spoke about what the club is planning in the future and how they are planning on outreaching into the community and helping the school out.

“If people want to get involved and they’re interested and they have ideas for what we could do like we’re those are the ideas are going to be strongly considering doing so,” Vanantwerpen said. “ Just a lot of outreach in the community and also kind of hearing like what everyone else in the club wants to do.”

The new staff of the Ambassador Club are really trying to reformat what they need to do because the older staff had now graduated. But they essentially just want to keep reaching out in the community and help as many people as possible.
