National Honors Society (NHS) inducted 116 new members in the performing arts center on Wednesday the 16th at 7:00 p.m. This is one of the biggest groups of new inductees ever.
“It goes to show the dedication of students at Grand Haven high school” NHS adviser Lynne Bailey said
New inductees were joined by family and NHS members to mark the occasion. The ceremony consisted of NHS leadership team speaking on the four pillars Service, Scholarship, Leadership and Character as well as guest speaker John Mauro speaking on his experience service abroad.
“Mr Mauro spoke on service because of his vast experience in service and personal experience around the world” Bailey said
The Induction is an annual event held by NHS to welcome new members into the society.
“It’s a long held tradition,” Bailey said, “and one that we’ll continue because it seems to be something students and parents enjoy”
