Competitive cheer tryouts took place this last week on Nov. 11, 12, and 13 at Central High School from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Head coach Ashley Borta is looking forward to the season coming up this winter.

“Competitive cheer is taking the athletic parts of cheer and splitting it up into three rounds,” Borta said. 

Borta was looking for individuals who know how to do jumps and tumbling such as toe touches, back walkovers and back handsprings.

“We are looking for positive girls who are willing to learn,” Borta said.
