Blood drive to save lives

Blood+drive+to+save+lives

If you’re in the mood to save a life this week sign up to give blood on Wednesday, March 12. Sign up during your lunch. You must be at least 16 with a parent permission form. Anybody above this age does not need a parent signature.

“For every unit of blood that we collect, it’s possible that that blood can actually help save the lives of up to three other people,” anatomy teacher, Todd Diederichsen said.

Participants must be at least 120 pounds. If you participate, remember to be on time and wear a short sleeved shirt. Drink lots of water and eat well.

“It’s a great experience to be able to give blood for the first time which is kind of scary for people,” Diederichsen said. “But if you do it with your friends it’s not so scary.”
