Brighten app review
Curious about this new app? Here’s what it’s all about
November 30, 2015
Everyone loves to receive a compliment, and with the trending app, Brighten, it makes it easy to share affirmations. The concept of this app is rather simple, you add your friends and other people who can anonymously post positive comments on your page. The app also allows other users to comment and like other peoples post, but it keeps identities anonymous by pairing the comment with an random animal emoji.
Although leaving the complements anonymous might lead people to think that this may potentially become an outlet for bullying (like previous apps like Ask.fm) but if used correctly, this app is an extremely positive entity to have on your mobile device.
If making someone’s day isn’t enough of an incentive, users can also earn points by doing certain actions. For example, sending a complement, or a “brighten”, will add three points to your score. There are also negative points, if a post is reported or deleted this will result in losing four points. Deleting a post or comment can be done with a simple swipe to the right.
This trend has taken the school by storm within the 24 hours, and if you haven’t checked it out yet you can find it in the app store by searching “Brighten”.
